Congratulations the Save the World Card is right for you!

Recently, there has been a new breed of credit card on the scene. These cards often referred to as affinity cards, guarantee that with use they will save the environment or save the children. In hopes of swaying the credit card wary, they can convince those that normally wouldn't commit to credit use. Some example cards can be found if you punch in the words 'children' and a credit card name into any search engine. Try it...you will be entertained!

Amazingly, many non-profits have chosen to sign up with credit card organizations to help raise funds without the full comprehension of the effects credit can have on most people. More interesting, the amount of money that these non-profit organizations receive is minimal compared to what the credit card company makes from the interest charged. It is interesting to think about how much more funds could be raised by the non-profit if they received the money directly from citizens.

In our society we choose to buy goods that we may or may not need. We are romanced into believing we need these things. 'Save the World' credit cards are another way we can convince ourselves of these needs. The biggest issue is that many of these credit card companies may not fully be in tune to your values or those of the non-profit you are trying to support. Often the question that is avoided is, "Where do the credit card companies spend their money?".
